Education and Research This activity is for Research active staff and would be particularly useful to Early Career Researchers.

About this course:

The ability to generate new ideas and solve problems is fundamental to research, but what are the skills that enable researchers to bring originality and innovation to the ideas and problems they are required to address? This introductory session dispels some of the cliches that have accumulated around creativity and identifies eight key skills that can be practiced to improve one's creative confidence in the context of interdisciplinary, challenge-led research environments.

The skills in this session map to the national Vitae Researcher Development Framework (Researcher: Curious, Collaborative, Adaptable; Research: Creativity and Innovation, Communication, Research outputs, Knowledge exchange and public engagement; Research Communities: Research Culture).
