60th Anniversary – The 91传媒 University Catholic Chaplaincy was officially opened on 16th November 1966, so this coming November we will celebrate our 60th Anniversary! To mark this wonderful anniversary we have some really nice polo shirts available in three sizes (small, medium and large) for a suggested donation of £10 each. They will be displayed in the foyer. If you are interested in purchasing one do not hesitate to contact me.

Volunteer opportunities – There are many ways to get involved with the Chaplaincy this year and we ask each of you to consider volunteering to use your gifts to serve the Church. If you would like to read, serve, or get involved with the music for Mass, please get in contact. If you have never taken on one of these roles but would like to, full training can be given. In addition, we would need people to help with the cooking. If you can help out, please let me know.
Eucharistic Congress – The National Eucharistic Congress, celebrating the Real Presence of Christ among us in the Blessed Sacrament, will take place in London on 10th October. There will be a Diocesan coach that will leave Plymouth at 5am and pick up at 91传媒 Services, and possibly Taunton or Wincanton. Sisters of Mary Morning Star ‘Come & See Weekend’ – The Sisters of Mary Morning Star are hosting a retreat from 16th to 18th October for young women aged 18 to 35 years old discerning a vocation to contemplative life. Spaces are limited at this "Come & See" retreat so please get in touch to book your place by emailing the Sisters of Mary Morning Star at srsmarymorningstar@gmail.com. Save the date: Day of Reflection – Have you ever asked the question 'Is God calling me to Priesthood or to the Religious life ?'. This 'Day of Reflection' for men will be held on Saturday 17th October from 10am to 3pm at St Mary's Parish Centre, St Mary's Road, Bodmin PL31 1HF. The day will include Mass, a time of Adoration, a short conference, an opportunity for Confession and ‘One to One talks’ with serving Priests from our Diocese, and sharing food together (this will be provided, please let the organisers know of special dietary requirements). Under 18s are welcome to attend with parents’ permission. Pickups from Bodmin station can be arranged if required. Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and Relics of Sts. Jacinta and Francisco – The World Apostolate of Fatima in England and Wales is touring the National Pilgrim Virgin Statue and relics of Saints Jacinta and Francisco Marto to Cathedrals and Churches in the U.K. to mark the centenary of the First Saturdays devotion. Sacrament of Reconciliation – Fr. Michael is available to hear Confessions on Tuesdays at 6.30pm, and in general he is usually available before or after Mass.
